Froth reopens at Ascott Raffles Place Singapore

Froth reopens at Ascott Raffles Place Singapore with new and exciting menu mainstays. located in the heart of the city, a stone throw away from Raffles Place MRT station. There is just something chic and cool about the interior design og Froth that features white and wood as its main theme.

From the wall features to the furnishing, Froth created a unique white and wood approach by fusing different shades and textures. Again, black lends a nice contrast to the overall look.

The 140-seaters restaurant exudes a minimalist vibe and opts for the dichotomy of black and white as its colour scheme that instantly brightens up the place, making it look more spacious than it really is.

About The Food

With a penchant for using unconventional culinary techniques, the chef playfully imbues western classics with a local flair. The eclectic menu will feature both brand-new dishes as well as all-time favourites.

Hot  &  Cold  Foie  Gras: $23.90++ SGD
Hot: Irresistible pan-seared foie gras is perched on toasted butter brioche with pomegranate and  truffle honey apple reduction. Buttery and delicate. Toasted butter brioche served a great accompaniment in this dish.

Cold: Cut through the chilled foie gras to find a liquid centre of apple and kiwi puree. Crushed sable, crunchy celery and Granny Smith slaw add to its textures. Very different from the usual kind of Foie Gras. This tasted more creamy and rich in flavours.

Oriental Duck Salad $16.90++ SGD
Strong touch of asian flavours in this Oriental Duck Salad when is the perfect gathering of roasted duck, smoked duck as well as duck confit in spring roll all dressed in-citrus plum dressing. One of my favourite dish. Great combination of 3 different flavours of duck. Flavourful but yet refreshing.

Five Spice Wagyu Patty Burger $34.90++ SGD
Think of the traditional "Ngoh Hiang", but with a wagyu twist. The patty is wrapped in crispy beancurd skin and then deep fried. Completing the towering burger are baby arugula, tomatoes and soft brioche burger buns. Something familiar in a different way. You don't usually use "Ngoh Hiang" as a burger patty, this is an innovative and good attempt. Somehow, I find that the patty is still a bit too salty. It could be better if it's less salty.

Seafood Tom Yum Risotto $29.90++ SGD
Seafood lovers must not miss this comforting mainstay. Grilled tiger prawns, flower clams and squid all swim in a fragrant and velvety risotto that boasts spicy and tangy notes. If you are a fan of risotto this could be a good choice when you visit Froth. Serving portion is huge and seafood is really fresh. If you like your risotto to be more flavourful, you may also request the kitchen to do it for you,

SioBak Aglio $25.90++ SGD
 Homemade slow roasted tender pork belly with delightfully crisp crackling is the perfect combination with bak-kwa-inspired honey pork bacon. It is served alongside with chilli linguine, which kicks up a notch in flavour throughout the entire dish. One of the signature dish. Yes, I am so hooked on to the crispy SioBak!!! You will definitely love it as i do.

Ponzu Soya Cod $35.90++ SGD
This features a cod fillet cooked using the sous vide technique. The fish is placed in a 45-degree-Celsius water bath for 50 minutes, and then paired with ponzu and sesame soya glaze. The skin is then  charred to achieve a  crispy crackling. Wasabi edamame puree, smoked mash, baby peaches and bok choy round out the dish.

French Toast Waffle $16.90++ SGD
These waffles are first half-cooked in the waffle iron, then coated with in-house  French toast batter, and deep fried to perfection.  Drizzled  with condensed milk and topped off with cereal flakes and a scoop of gourmet ice-cream, this is no doubt the best way to cap off a wonderful dining experience at Froth.

Enjoy a free kid’s meal with every purchase of main course

Being a kids-friendly restaurant, Froth also offers yummy dishes for the little ones. The Build Your Own Burger $8.90++ SGD features chicken breast slices, lettuce, tomatoes and mini buns. The ingredients are plated separately, so the kids can assemble the ingredients on their own. The Volcano Mash $8.90++ SGD provides the young eaters with the carbohydrates and energy they need. The mashed potatoes are accompanied with smoked chicken bratwurst, carrot wedges and broccoli for a well-balanced meal.

The Noodle Nest (S$8.90++) will be too cute to eat. Two hard boiled eggs are fashioned in the motif of a bird, and they are perched on a nest of  buckwheat soba noodles. The noodles are tossed with anin-house  sauce.  Finally, for infants who cannot yet enjoy solid food, the homemade Pumpkin PureeorSweet Potato Puree will certainly bring a smile to their faces.

Suited for kids aged 10 and below, the kids’ menu will be available from 6 August 2016 onwards and on weekends only. With every purchase of a main course, one kid will get to enjoy a free kid’s meal.
